Turn Stories into repeatable Tasks
Development docs · main. Your installed version may differ.
Atomize turns Stories into consistent child Tasks using reusable YAML Templates. Capture your team's task breakdown once, then preview and reuse it as new Stories arrive.
Use VS Code for guided authoring in your editor or the CLI for terminal workflows and automation. Connected generation supports Azure DevOps. Mock Preview lets you try a Template without a platform connection.
Choose where you work
Section titled “Choose where you work”VS Code and the CLI both use Atomize YAML Files. Start with the workflow that fits your day.
Preview before creating Tasks
Section titled “Preview before creating Tasks”Start with a Mock Preview to see a task breakdown without credentials. When you connect Azure DevOps, a Live Preview reads a real Story without creating Work Items. Review the plan before confirming Task creation. Connect Azure DevOps lists the permissions a Connection Profile needs.
Run your first CLI Mock Preview using a built-in Template and a small Mock Story.
Make the breakdown your team’s own
Section titled “Make the breakdown your team’s own”Learn how a Template is structured, from filters to estimation. Use Template composition to share a base Template and reusable task groups. Keep the Templates your team agrees on in a project Catalog.
